Pauline and her husband Marc moved to the Triangle in 1973 and for many years she worked as an accountant for several small businesses in Durham. She later served as Business Manager of the Daily Tar Heel, the campus newspaper of UNC-Chapel Hill. Pauline was a dedicated and supportive mother who provided endless opportunities and experiences for her children, all the while perfecting her French culinary skills. After raising their 3 children, Pauline embraced her passion for artistic quilting, including watercolor quilting, paper-piecing, mixed media and crazy quilts. Family and friends from around the world have inherited her beautiful and treasured works.
In lieu of flowers the grandchildren have requested that donations be made to the Carrboro ArtsCenter in the name of Rejeanne Pauline Caron to support a scholarship fund that will inspire young children to develop skills and passion for fabric arts.
